Dr. Mitchell performed a bunionectomy for me on each foot, one in mid-January and the other in mid-May. I am THRILLED with the results. He told me exactly what to expect through the healing process so there were no scary surprises. I will absolutely recommend this doctor to anyone who is in need of foot or ankle surgery. Dr Mitchell was great ! He and his staff took wonderful car of my son when he had a serious foot injury. Dr Mitchell was very down to earth and friendly and took time to explain what needed to be done. He personally called my son the evening after his surgery. Working in the medical field I know not many surgeons do that themselves. His PA Jennifer was also great. Kind and caring staff as well. I would highly recommend Dr Mitchell!

I'm so impressed with Dr. Peter Mitchell. I broke me ankle in 1980 and it was a year of healing and still that was not enough. Dr. Mitchell replaced my ankle joint and after 6 weeks I am able to walk with a boot. I feel that my ankle is so much better. I know that I have at least 6 months before I feel normal but in the mean time I can walk and do normal chores. His bed side manner is that he tells it like it is. I love that. He is friendly and you can see he cares. I really wish he was around when I first broke my ankle but I think he would have been 6 years old.
If you have any foot or ankle problem he is the one to go to.

Dr. Mitchell did surgery on my daughter, who is in the University of Arizona dance program. We were able to schedule so that she did not miss much and did not have to take leave from the program. The arthroscopic surgery he performed has eliminated the pain that she had been struggling with over a period of several years. He was very friendly and down to earth, and we appreciate his caring treatment.

I had to have bone spurs removed around my tendons (Achilles) in both ankles and had to have a torn ligament fixed in my left ankle. Dr. Mitchell was very knowledgeable and explained things to me in laymen terms, and it really put me at ease when it came to the surgery. The surgery went smoothly and he even called me later that evening to see how I am doing and to see if I had any questions. Not even a week after the surgery, I feel and stepped on my surgery foot. I sent him a text message with my concerns and he responded quickly while he was on vacation! It's just not something you get from doctors in this day and age, and it further reinforced my belief that he is not only an amazing surgeon, but just a wonderful doctor who cares about his patients. Everyone at his office is extremely nice as well, and I am always seen at my appointment time. He will be doing my second surgery too, and I hope I don't have to have any more in the future but if I do, I am only going to Dr. Mitchell. I can not recommend him enough.
